FINE MOLDS MILLENNIUM FALCON-LANDING GEAR (PART 2)

Landing gears have been painted up using Vallejo off-white with a small squirt of sky grey. Not too worried about being able to match that colour because the legs are going to be most heavily weathered.

I need to weather the landing gear up and wanted to go to town on this a bit as it’s probably going to be the most beaten up area.  I applied some stippled Sky Grey over the base colour (this was used in the mix so works well with it), focusing on the edges most.  I then applied some darker grey (Games Workshop) again focusing on the edges and when most of the paint was off the brush I scrubbed it around a bit more.

Picture below is the landing foot and baffle mainly completely painted.  Problem is this was quite time consuming, so doing 7 is going to take a while.

Knocked back some of the darker points with some Sky Grey, trying to create layers and variation in the process.  and used some MIG Rust Streaking fluid to add some rust and fluid leaks onto the surface.  Also used this partially as a wash into recesses and then used a dry brush to scrub it round.

Bandai 1:350 Scale Millennium Falcon

Sorry, I’ve been neglecting my blog for a while now and instead just posting to the SFM:uk Facebook Group or my Instagram account.  But I hope to be able to do some catch up and get some things posted.

So first up is a build I completed a while back of the small Bandai Millenium Falcon.  Although non-scale it comes out at 1:350 I believe and is really small but highly detailed.

Smashing build and really enjoyed it.  So much so that I got 2 more, which I will add shortly.
